AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company recently launched a new life insurance application for the Apple iPad mobile device. The app gives consumers access to more information on how the AXA Equitable's Athena Indexed Universal Life insurance product can address many needs including death benefit coverage and down market risk management.
The app also includes calculators and guides to help consumers identify their financial objectives through life insurance coverage such as protecting families from financial hardship and saving for college tuition. The needs analysis calculator helps consumers decide what financial needs will have to be covered by the policy. The hypothetical historical returns calculator will demonstrate to the consumer the relationship of historical index returns to certain options in the life insurance product. The premium calculator provides an approximate hypothetical premium for consumers to view when researching a policy.
In addition, Summit Business Media launched LifeHealthPro.com, which offers consumers a library of life insurance information advisers, breaking insurance news and market tips for professionals in the life insurance industry. Financial advisers and life insurance agents can access critical information and tools to help enhance their business practices.
"With the launch, our 13 award-winning editors and journalists have organized around digitally-focused workflow," said James E. Green, Group Editor of Summit's Life Heath Group. "The benefits of the new workflow include extended news beats to expand coverage of the industry, the elimination of overlapping coverage and the use of in-depth research and real-time metrics to address trending topics immediately."
